Big Data involves four V's: Variety, Volume, Velocity and Veracity. Where Veracity is concerned, an emerging need is to provide data providers -- especially citizens -- with the means to correct errors in the data about themselves. Such portals are too often omitted when system requirements are developed. A Healthcare.gov deficiency noted by the Washington Post is a recent example.
